GARY AND STEVE

£64.00

As every Londoner knows, swans are the emperors and empresses of the waterways in this city. Protected by Royalty, there is good reason they swan around.

Swans can live for up to 30 years and are known to mate for life.

The swan is a winged reminder that no matter how calm and serene things appear on the surface, there is always some underlying emotion or feeling.

Swans remind us to pay attention to our intuition, guiding us to uncover what’s hidden beneath the surface.

Have you ever seen a swan try to take off? It’s hilarious! They have to waddle very fast, like an uptown New Yorker doing one of those power walks, before taking off, at a flap. It takes them a while to glide.

The swans featuring on this beautiful plate are called Gary and Steve. They met on the Grand Union Canal. Last summer they moved to the Serpentine in Hyde Park. They like nothing more than being snooty to the locals, hissing at the riff raff and nodding with approval when they spot people of interest walking by.

This is a limited edition plate of 100, each is numbered on the reverse.

Each transferware plate is created by hand and needs time to sit after firing. Therefore, please allow 4-5 weeks for your order to process.

Best hand washed, carefully, with warm soapy water.
